Angels & Doves Gateway Catholic Sanctuary (ADGCS) is focused on the spiritual, mental and physical well being of our birds and you our friends
ADGCS is on the front line of putting together a healing place for Doves, Pigeons and people who need a different approach to Spiritual, Mental and Physical healing. God gives us all the tools for healing and his creation is one of those tools that is most overlooked and under utilized.
Angels and Doves currently offers care, support, healing and provides for all essential needs for over 90 doves and pigeons. We are currently looking to grow our sanctuary to have the potential to save and house more of God's birds and provide a place for people to engage God and his creation.
Psalms 103:3-5 Who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Our Vision
ADGCS is currently working hard to build a sanctuary not only for our birds, but also for people needing a place to heal and meditate. A place to get away from mental, spiritual and physical injury that makes life more difficult. By integrating God's creation with our physical existence we can find and enjoy the healing process that comes from God himself. We will be building a sanctuary that not only encompasses Doves and pigeons, but also a spiritual healing Labyrinth.
ADGCS Spiritual Healing Labyrinth
As you pray and meditate in this Healing Labyrinth you will be able to place yourself into the Way of the Cross and think of all the mysteries of Christ as Mary his beloved mother did, as she retraced the steps of her son Jesus Christ in Jerusalem. As Mary retraced her sons steps of his Passion and the heart breaking events that happened she was able to keep the memory alive and pass it down to his church.
When Mary moved away from Jerusalem, it has been said that she continued her devotional walk by creating an outdoor path that was similar to events of her sons passion near her home. She placed 14 stones that she would walk, pray, and meditate on the things that here son experienced on his Sorrowful Way.
For centuries people have flocked to the Holy Land just to walk the steps of Christ to pray and meditate. Our ADGCS Spiritual Healing Labyrinth will bring Jesus's Way and the stones that Mary walked here for you at our sanctuary.
Our Spiritual Healing Labyrinth will maintain 14 prayer and meditation stations for people to engage God while enjoying the beauty and soothing songs of our birds. At the center will be a beautiful pond with a water feature with rescued water turtles and Koi fish. Our Spiritual Healing Labyrinth will contain five Aviary's that will be integrated into the prayer and meditation stations.
Our prayer and meditation stations will have a grass area, a tree with benches. At the center will be a spiritual statue with scripture and a prayer for healing. A total of 14 stations will be in place. These stations will be integrated with aviary's and landscaping.
